Joel Castón

I serve as the informal Chief of Staff and general support for Joel Castón— an entrepreneur, author, advocate, and the first incarcerated individual to win public office as Ward 7F’s Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner in Washington, D.C. As of February 6, 2024, Joel became the first formerly incarcerated person to join D.C.’s Sentencing Commission.
